Add/Drop/Tuition Liability Dates for Part-of-Term Code

Most courses offered during the summer at Mason will meet in the standard summer sessions A, B, and C (part-of-term code 1A, 1B, and 1C below). However, some courses that meet at non-standard times throughout the summer term (identified by a section number that begins with an ‘X’ – ex. HHS 201-X01). These sections have modified add, drop, and tuition liability dates proportional to their length. The actual meeting dates for each section will be listed in the section notes when you search for classes via Patriot Web. If you register for any non-standard summer course, you may contact the Registrar’s Office to find out which Part-of-Term code has been assigned to the course and refer to the chart below for add/drop deadlines. Courses may be assigned to a Part-of-Term code that doesn’t necessarily match the exact start and end date for the section, so students should consult the printed Schedule of Classes or Patriot Web for the exact start and end dates for non-standard sections.
